Accessibility Statement

Effective date: April 2026 · Last updated: April 2026

NIUSIA CO.,LTD. is committed to making Care-Call.AI accessible to everyone, including users with disabilities. We believe accessible design is fundamental to serving older adults, their families, and the facilities that care for them.

1. Standards we follow

Care-Call.AI aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the de-facto standard referenced by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") and by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

2. What we do to be accessible

  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with clearly visible focus rings.
  • Semantic HTML — we use native headings, lists, tables, buttons and form elements so that screen readers announce structure correctly.
  • Alt text — marketing images include descriptive alt attributes; purely decorative images are marked as such.
  • Colour contrast — body text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background (WCAG AA) in both our light and dark themes.
  • Responsive design — the dashboard and marketing site reflow gracefully down to a 320 px viewport and support browser zoom to 200%.
  • Motion & flashing — we avoid content that flashes more than three times per second and honour the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Forms — every form field has a visible label, error messages are announced to assistive technologies, and required fields are clearly marked.
  • Text alternatives — our AI assistant provides both text and structured data so screen-reader users receive the same information as sighted users.

3. Ongoing work

Accessibility is never "done". Our current focus areas are:

  • Expanding automated axe-core checks in our CI pipeline so every pull request is screened for common regressions.
  • Annual third-party accessibility audits against WCAG 2.1 AA with publicly-shared summary reports.
  • Improving the voice engine to support TTY relay services for deaf and hard-of-hearing residents.
  • Adding large-text and high-contrast display modes to the facility dashboard.

4. Known limitations

  • Some third-party embeds (Stripe Checkout, Google OAuth sign-in) are controlled by their vendors and may not yet meet WCAG AA in every flow. We rely on those vendors' own accessibility commitments.
  • Legacy PDF downloads (invoices, monthly reports) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. An HTML equivalent is available on request.

5. How to request accessible alternatives

If any part of Care-Call.AI is not accessible to you, or you need information in an alternative format (large print, plain text, audio), please use the contact form on our website and we will respond within 5 business days.

  • Choose the "Accessibility" category.
  • Describe the page URL or feature you need help with in the message box.
  • Include any preferred alternative format (large print, plain text, audio, etc.).

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response you may file a complaint with the US Department of Justice under Title III of the ADA. Information on filing an ADA complaint is available at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.
